About the Role
Our Prototype & Design Team are the proud LEAP ambassadors innovating our software to meet our clients’ evolving needs and ensuring our technology is always helping our clients achieve our brand promise: “Firms using LEAP make more money”.
We are seeking a Product Designer to collaborate closely with our Full Stack Developer and Product team to create tangible prototypes that will serve as the foundation for our development team's projects.
Guided by a deep understanding of user-centred design principles, prototyping tools, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you’ll combine stakeholder and customer feedback into the ongoing optimisation, innovation, and evolution of our software. What you’ll do
- Prototype Design: Work closely with a Product Manager to understand project requirements to design prototypes that demonstrate key features and functionalities of our products.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders, to gather requirements and feedback, and iterate on designs accordingly.
- Understanding of users' needs: Use design plays, such as user journey maps, user stories and personas (working closely with the product team) to develop a deeper understanding of our users’ needs. Ensure the user’s perspective is the driving force behind all design decisions.
- Wireframing and Mockups: Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using design tools such as Figma, to communicate design concepts and user flows effectively.
- Design Documentation: Document design decisions, interactions, and user flows to ensure clear communication with the development team and seamless handoff of prototypes for implementation.
- Stay Abreast of Trends: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in design and prototyping. Apply knowledge and insights to drive innovation and enhance the quality of our prototypes.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Proven experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and ability to create intuitive user interfaces
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, or similar
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and methodologies, including wireframing, mockups, and interactive prototypes
- A basic understanding of front-end development technologies and constraints is a plus
- High impact communication – you can clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations. You have the ability to communicate design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams effectively.
- A willingness to challenge and question stakeholders to understand the problem and propose innovative solutions
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating user-centric designs that solve complex problems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
