The role of the Product Developer is to support both the Product Manager and Research and Development team to drive the end-to-end product development process in both a creative and technical capacity. The successful candidate will have training and industry experience in Product Development, ideally within FMCG Manufacturing or similar.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquire strong familiarity new and existing products including operational and technical aspects
Project management
Liaise with stakeholders to identify and document product requirements
Create and prepare project time estimations
Be actively involved in documenting product-related issues and working with key stakeholders to develop solutions and deploy resolutions
Develop well-structured test plans and execute comprehensive testing
Develop and maintain technical and user documentation with version control
Provide product training and support to Product Managers and Level 2 support staff
Follow company quality procedures ensuring products are compliant, meeting regulatory and safety requirements
Working with manufacturers for additional information to commercialise product
Train internal departments on product operation and maintenance
Working alongside compliance team obtaining test reports from suppliers and manufacturers
Essential Criteria
Proven experience in a similar role/capacity
Electromechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or similar degree with equivalent industry experience
Experience with packaging/ food equipment/ FMCG manufacturing
Experience in using CAD related programs
Ability to write technical and user guides
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong mechanical or technical skills background
Ability to travel interstate intermittently throughout the year
Drivers Licence
Desirable
Experience with the servicing side of machinery would be an advantage
Experience working with manufacturing inspection systems and weighing equipment an advantage
