As a Senior Product Developer/ Garment Technician with Upstage World you will be a valued team member and play a pivotal role in working with the Creative Director to bring the Upstage range of quality "off-stage" apparel to launch.

Working closely with the Creative Director to design and construct garments that reflect the brand's vision and target audience. Demonstrate an affiliation to the target market through a customer centric mindset.
Develop and produce ranges that meet margin, construction and quality standards, and seasonal directions in line with Company Critical Path.
- Work to deliver our brand vision through the creation of original artwork through the use of CAD & illustration along with accurate design packs with specifications.
- Develop garment specifications in accordance with the sketches and samples approved by the Creative Director.
- Work closely with Creative and Ecommerce team on a daily basis for product development
- Proficient with garment specs, ensure all grading and fits are accurate and consistent across all ranges.
- Ensure consistency and complete approvals of fit, colour, fabric, and labelling across deliveries/seasons as required
- Anticipate and resolve any potential problems relating to fit, fabric, workmanship, quality & design relating to Australian and International standards.
- Create and maintain garment tech packs
- Logo and print placement knowledge and experience
- Create and ensure correct trims/tags are applied to garments
- Quality control, quality assurance, and approvals of development samples and PP samples. Update and manage quality manuals accordingly
- Ensure products meet appropriate quality requirements and customer’s expectations.
- Detailing of all specifications within design packs, inclusive of making comments and version controls.
- Liaison with the factories regarding specifications, samples, pre- production samples and shipment samples with comments surrounding the fit / garment construction.
- Coordinate fittings in line with the production critical path and communicate fit comments and updated specs to factories for all samples.
- Accurate measure and analysis of samples, inspections of finished garments, identifying and resolving any defects or issues before products reach the market
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to oversee the quality and timely delivery of materials.
- Provide technical guidance to manufacturers, addressing any challenges related to garment construction.
- Implement and maintain quality standards throughout the production process, ensuring consistency and adherence to design specifications.
- Work to the company Critical Path.
- Manage and maintain the production tracker.
- Ensure timely delivery of advertising samples for photo shoots and look books.
- Ensure accurate reporting on works in progress and provide updates.
- Ensure that problems arising from late deliveries is addresses and rectified promptly.
EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS
- Good relationship management & interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of construction methods and garment finishing, and strong knowledge of fabric finishes, treatments, washes, weights, and fabric properties.
- High proficiency using Adobe Illustrator is essential (InDesign and Photoshop are also highly regarded but not essential).
- Strong organization skills
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant design / garment technical discipline- Fashion Technology, Patternmaking.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of fits, fabrications, grading rules and manufacturing process
- Garment construction and manufacturing knowledge is essential.
- Experience no less than 3 years in a similar role (garment tech packs, spec packs, Patternmaker capacity)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
- Computer literacy

- CAD Adobe programs: Illustrator
- Excel are essential to this role.
