You will be working for an award-winning provider of underfloor heating at their offices on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. They are going through an exciting growth period and are looking to expand their team to assist with achieving their plans for 2024.
The Role
As the Product Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying, researching, assessing and coordinating the development of new products from conception to launch. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will use your innovative approach, your tenacity and exceptional project management & organisational skills to bring new products to market which will ensure that this fast-growing company continues to go from strength to strength.
Duties
- Undertake all functions to bring to market new goods and services.
- Research market trends to find unmet needs and competing products and evaluate new product ideas to determine feasibility and potential market demand.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, including negotiating contracts, reviewing samples and approving finished products.
- Oversee quality assurance to ensure products satisfy all internal and external requirements, including compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, installation and management teams to establish product requirements and roadmap, implement strategies and design new goods or services.
- Develop risk-management procedures and maintain and analyse problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and suppliers.
- Formulate pricing strategies through market analysis to optimise product profitability and achieve cost targets.
- Project management & organisational skills, including planning and overseeing the development of a product from start to finish, on time.
- Ability to creatively develop innovative products that customers want and develop strategies to bring them to market.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues that arise during the Product Development process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm with a high level of courtesy and professionalism.
- A strong work ethic, eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
- Adesire to demonstrate initiative and be proactive.
- Genuine willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as the ability to work on your own.
- intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office competence.
