The Opportunity
As the Product Owner, you'll be the bridge between our business and IT stakeholders, the Scrum team, and the end users. You'll be responsible for:
- Collaborating with business, IT, and end users to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product features and goals.
- Developing and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, ensuring transparency and focus for the team.
- Empowering the Scrum team to deliver maximum value by providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Championing the product vision and roadmap across all stakeholders.
- Actively participating in Scrum ceremonies, fostering a collaborative and efficient development process.
- Prioritizing backlog items and guiding the team towards achieving product goals.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar Agile role.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A knack for prioritizing and managing complex tasks.
- Experience in user story development, backlog management, and user acceptance testing is a plus.
- Competitive hourly rate between $100 and $140 (based on experience).
- 12-month contract position in Canberra.
