THE ROLE
As a Product Owner you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the development of our next-generation product that's transforming the mining industry. You'll bridge the gap between product vision and technical execution, ensuring a seamless journey from concept to reality.
Here's what you will do:
- Collaborate closely with product management and leadership to ensure the project aligns with the company's overall product roadmap and stays within the defined scope.
- Work hand-in-hand with developers to translate user needs into clear and actionable requirements.
- Embrace the Agile methodology to manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and tasks to optimize development efficiency.
- Be the voice of the customer – gather and integrate stakeholder feedback to ensure the product delivers real value.
- Partner with UI/UX designers to create an intuitive and user-friendly experience for our customers.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical product documentation for future reference.
- Wear the educator hat – explain complex technical concepts to internal stakeholders who may not have a technical background.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams (Sales & Engineering) and external customers to build a collaborative ecosystem.
- Gain a solid understanding of the product's positioning and contribute valuable insights to marketing and commercial strategies.
- Partner with Marketing to craft compelling campaigns and materials that showcase the product's capabilities.
- Be our product ambassador – represent the company at industry events and conferences, building brand awareness and generating excitement for our innovative solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with product management and leadership to ensure project aligns with the product strategy.
- Define user requirements and ensure clarity for development teams.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the product backlog using Agile methodologies.
- Prioritize and communicate product backlog items to development teams.
- Help develop and drive execution of development schedules.
- Define features, functionalities, user experience, and release criteria.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure requirements meet user needs.
- Create, review, and update technical product documentation.
- Manage stakeholder feedback and translate it to product development priorities.
- Educate and advocate for the product internally, explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales & Engineering) and external customers.
- Understand product positioning and contribute to marketing and commercial strategies.
- Assist with marketing campaigns and materials (in partnership with Marketing team).
- Provide product support to customers.
- Consult with commercial and marketing teams for demonstration and proposal content.
- Present the product at internal and external events to build brand awareness.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- Experience with the full development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Change management experience.
- Excellent strategic influencing and relationship management skills.
- Experience in business analysis (translating business needs to functional requirements).
- (Desirable) Domain knowledge in geology, drilling, fluids, mining, hardware, or software engineering.
