We have an exciting opportunity in the Unified Communication Group for a Product Owner - Audio Visual Professional Services.
If successful you will be part of the group responsible for the integration of multiple enterprise communication tools, such as integrated voice, SMS, video conferencing, meeting rooms and clinical applications into a single, streamlined interface, with the goal of improving user experience (UX) and productivity across the NSW Health system.
We have a hybrid way of working, the majority performed remotely with regular interactions over MS Teams and face to face in Chatswood and/or Charlestown.
Reporting to our Audio Visual and Collaboration Products - Senior Product Owner, you will be working alongside our other Product Owners delivering modern meeting spaces, modern collaboration devices and electronic signage.
As a Product Owner for Audio Visual (AV) Professional Services you will lead our product roadmap and vision for AV Professional and consulting services, leading agile squads to deliver services across the NSW Health system.
Responsibilities include overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to delivery, aligning with strategic goals and financial objectives. Effective collaboration with stakeholders across various levels and departments is essential for achieving product deliverables.
Maintaining a strategic vision and roadmap, alongside close coordination with technical teams and financial stakeholders, ensures successful execution of product initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product management, strategic thinking, financial management, stakeholder engagement, and familiarity with agile methodologies and ideally the public health system.
A strong understanding of AV technologies in health care, health infrastructure and enterprise communication systems would be beneficial in navigating this dynamic role within the healthcare sector.
The role has a focus to effectively manage and achieve agreed product deliverables by working with group managers, operation leads, senior Product Owners, Product Owners, capability managers across the business, ICT/AV engineers, finance and a wide array of stakeholders in LHDs across Health NSW.

What you will do
As an integral member of the Unified Communication Group , you will:
- Develop product vision across the AV Professional Services product roadmap.
- Contribute to developing the strategic vision to maximise customer and organisational value.
- Develop and oversee product lifecycle operations using relevant governance framework.
- Lead user story development and manage the product backlog.
- Support the product team throughout the product lifecycle to deliver on requirements.
- Partner with customers and key stakeholders to effectively manage and achieve product deliverables, program priorities and successful outcomes.
- Provide professional AV Consulting services to LHD and pillars.
- Travel to customer sites across the state as needed.
- Lead the development of AV Consulting and drafting services.
- Lead the development of new and update existing AV standard templates.
- Grow and market our Virtual Live events (VLE) services offerings.
- Design and Documentation of procedures and processes.
- Provide on-site training services and products for end users.
About you
- We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:
- Product owner with experience managing an AV and/or Collaboration product in a large-scale and complex environment, experience in the NSW Health sector will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated superior expertise and a proven record of achievement managing a large and complex product lifecycle and leading multidisciplinary teams in a large and complex clinical ICT service environment.
- Strong presentation skills – road mapping
- Strong communication skills – stakeholders of all levels
- Finance acumen and understanding of product cost modelling and total cost of ownership principles.
