As we experience rapid growth, we are looking for a Product Owner Electronic Warfare Systems to fulfill the Product Owner role as per the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) (refer to ) within a greenfield cloud based application development running on a state of the art CI/CD pipeline to modernise the Navy’s EW capabilities. This exciting opportunity allows you to be a senior member of the development team and influence this brand new solution development.
The software solution development will leverage best practice software patterns technologies and executed using Scaled Agile Framework. This critical role will see you engage with a wide variety of stakeholders to define the stories to produce cutting edge capability.

We are seeking a skilledProduct Owner Electronic Warfare Systems to maximise the value delivered by a Scrum team by technically contributing and ensuring that the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs, to produce a Maritime Electronic Warfare Software Application.
Essential elements of this exciting role include:
- Contribute to the vision and roadmap of the software solution.
- Foster built-in quality and support the architectural runway to produce a resilient solution.
- Communicate and present the Features required to the program and customer stakeholders.
- Obtain feedback from program and customer stakeholders.
- Technically contributing, defining, managing, and prioritising the backlog for your assigned Scrum team to implement (develop) the software application, accept completed stories based on the definition of done.
- Background in Systems Engineering and experience with MBSE desirable.
- Previous defence experience desirable
- Work with the SAFe Product Manager and System Architects to translate the customer needs into an implementable lower level design and stories.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- STEM qualification is desirable
- Minimum 4 years' systems and/or software development experience is essential.
- Experience applying customer centricity and design thinking to Feature creation/mapping.
- Experience with SAFe quality gates such as Definition of Done and Definition of Ready.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills essential
- Previous exposure to Defence Systems Engineering processes and tools desirable
- Experience in Command and Control and/or Electronic Warfare domain desirable
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to NV -1 - eligibility can be found at
