Position overview
Are you interested in learning more about Regulatory Compliance in the world leading industrial coating resins company? allnex is inviting you to join our dynamic, global regulatory affairs team as a Product Regulatory Compliance Specialist, and this position is open to be based in Botany NSW or Wacol Queensland, Australia. In this role, you will need to ensure, manage and control Product Regulatory Compliance for allnex in the ANZ region and to support allnex customers establishing compliance with the regulations applicable to them. We are happy to share, you will have an exciting opportunity to lead project teams to develop allnex PSRA processes and systems and assists the Hazard Communication team to ensure that Hazard Communication documents used in the territory comply with regulatory specifications as determined and decided in collaboration with the HazCom team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Global Product Regulatory Compliance team to provide all responses for Product Regulatory Compliance inquiries received from internal and external customers for allnex products in a manner consistent with current allnex practices.
  • Assess the impact of new Regional regulations on the business and participates in or leads the implementation of these new regulations with the Regional Product Regulatory Compliance team.
  • Assess the compliance of allnex products with Regional regulations & requirements in order to answer internal and external customer inquiries, with assistance of the Regional Manager for more difficult topics such as food contact.
  • Prepare and submit notifications or registrations dossiers to the authorities in order to enable the compliant marketing of allnex products in the Region.
  • Support all coatings Business Unit by responding to internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Assess the impact of new Regional regulations for our business and give input to PSRA management.
  • Lead and participate in project teams for setting up new processes and tools enabling us to comply with new regulations.
  • Manage the gatekeeper and other blocking process to release of orders on regulatory hold while ensuring Regulatory Compliance.
  • Develop PSRA processes and systems ensuring compliance with new and existing Regional regulations.
  • Coordinate with local Plant, R&D or TS&D Product Stewards to ensure that product information from the site within region has been properly documented in the WERCS database system by respective Product Stewards.
  • Work in cooperation with the Global Hazard Communication team to ensure that all required HazCom documents for products are compliant with current Regional regulations.
Required skills and experience
  • 3 - 5 years of working experience in Regulatory Compliance or related field..
  • Knowledge of chemistries in allnex products range, applications, policies, systems and personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of Regional Chemical Control & Hazard Communications Laws and Regulations.
  • Proficiency and excellent communication skills in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize daily work and exhibit time-management skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Constant awareness of the sensitive nature of information and data being handled on a daily basis.
  • Strong team player and customer oriented.
  • Possess a drive and personal initiative to keep learning and improving in the chosen field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in terms of ability to deal with multiple priorities.
  • Able to create and improve process in order to manage new regulations in an efficient manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry or related discipline.
