The Opportunity
As the Technical Specialist, you will be working alongside our Account Manager Team in providing invaluable support to deliver a compelling offering and innovative solutions to our customers. In this role, you will support a portfolio involving welding, gas, and abrasive products
This is a permanent full-time opportunity and will be based at BlackwoodsCarole Park. In this role, there is the requirement to travel to support our customers. The territory includes Mackay and the Bowen Basin.
Some of the tasks:
- Fostering existing and new customer relationships by leveraging your expertise to identify and deliver solutions
- Providing technical sales support for welding, gas, and abrasives products, from identifying the right products to delivering customised solutions in collaboration with account managers and vendors
- Maintaining an opportunity pipeline, providing performance reports, market insights, and customer feedback to drive growth
- Sharing your product knowledge, expertise through training and support to our sales and customer service teams
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with customers and vendors by delivering top-notch technical expertise
- Assisting with quote and tender responses, including recommending the best products for specific requirements
- Contributing to cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive innovation and excellence
Some of the skills:
- Experience in delivering technical expertise in the welding, gas, and abrasives industry or a similar hands-on fabrication background
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders, negotiate effectively, and influence outcomes
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to collaborate, build positive relationships across different functions within the organisation
- A desire to work face-to-face with customers, providing them with tailored technical solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of CRM systems being highly regarded
