Production Assistant/Machine Operator

APR Manufacturing Group is a South Australian owned and run business operating both APR Composites and APR Tanks.  

APR Composites are leaders in developing and manufacturing Wood Plastic Composite products which are sustainable alternatives to timber and concrete. APR Composites have a positive impact on the environment by utilising recycling products in our manufacturing process.

As a result of recent expansion to our new Edinburgh facility we are seeking enthusiastic Production Assistant/ Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team.

The successful applicant will be involved in the following tasks:

• Manufacturing products according to the schedule
• Monitor the quality of manufactured product
• Assisting and operating the Extruder
• Loading raw material into the machine
• Operate the saw to produce the appropriate quantity and length
• Operate a CNC router, moulder, router, drop saw to manipulate the product profile
• Assembly of products according to client specifications
• Packing and storing finalised product
• Moving stock via Forklift
• Picking orders and loading trucks
• Equipment maintenance & factory cleaning

To be successful for this position, you MUST have:

• Current forklift license and experience
• Previous employment history working in a production / machine operating role
• Experience with using hand tools
• Ability to read and write and carry out basic math
• Must be physically fit and strong enough for the manual handling requirements of the job
• Be able to complete and pass a Pre Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screening test
• Solid work history with checkable references
• Must be reliable
• Must be able to work a rotating roster
