Overview
To provide engineering and technical expertise to the maintenance and production departments to improve safety, quality, and effectiveness of the fixed plant operations. This role would support the Mine or the Port operations at our new Onslow Iron project.
- Provide technical & process engineering support to the Production, Maintenance and Technical Teams as required.
- Complete & distribute daily, weekly, monthly operations and quality reporting.
- Proactively Troubleshoot process, control systems, production, and maintenance problems to analyse and recommending solutions to improve operations.
- Be an operation representative for capital, improvement, and engineering works within the fixed plant.
- Complete Investigations and play a key role in process safety & safety in design within fixed plant assets.
- Provide run-down and commissioning technical support for shutdowns
- Complete process investigations and develop clear and precise actions
Requirements for the role
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Processing, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or other relevant discipline (essential)
- A focus on effective safety and environmental practices
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Effective communication both written and verbal
- Ability to establish positive working relationship with contractors
- Displays commitment to high standards of work
- Strong computing abilities
- A minimum of two years’ post-graduate experience
- Experience with Iron Ore base metals preferred
