About the role:
We seek an experienced Production Excavator Operators to join our Mining team, working a 7 days on, 7 nights on, 14 days off roster FIFO from Darwin.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant equipment, specifically Excavators.
- Responsible for the performance of pre-start checks and hazard identification.
- Responsible for the communication of accurate and timely information to Mine Dispatch Coordinator, Supervisor, and Assistant Supervisor, as appropriate.
- Responsible for undertaking role to deliver the weekly plan to a high quality.
- Responsible for ensuring all material mucked is accurately identified as Ore or waste.
- Responsible for following safety practices and procedures when undertaking work.
- Responsible for the identification of continuous improvement opportunities
- Responsible for behaving in line with Glencore values including actively participating in training and development activities.
- Responsible for following environment practices and procedures when undertaking work.
- Provides support, mentoring and role modelling to all other team members.
Successful applicant will have:
- Must have Prior experience operating Excavator (CAT 6060/6040, Hitachi 1200).
- Loader 980,992,993,995 (Desirable).
- Grader 18M (Desirable).
- Dozer D10, D11 (Desirable).
- RII tickets or VOC for the some or all of the above machinery.
- Minimum 12 months experience in open cut mining.
- A strong safety focus.
- A current driver's license.
