Job description

An opportunity exists to join our team as a Leading Hand / Machine Operator in our Chocolate Manufacturing area.

This role is hands-on and involves set up and running of equipment and production machines, as well as overseeing quality, production and safety targets. The role will report to the Production Manager.

Candidates MUST have solid experience in Food and Beverage or Fast Moving Consumer Goods manufacturing environments.

Working hours for the role are expected to be 6am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, but could be changed to suit the right candidate.

The Successful Candidate:

To be successful in the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • A motivated attitude with a “can-do” outlook- willing to get involved and not leave the work to others.
  • An ability to manage a number of different activities at once within a high paced production environment.
  • Well rounded production skills including: production line set up, monitoring, and change overs 
  • An ability to clearly communicate with all levels of staff and management, including writing short handover notes.
  • Excellent record keeping and documentation discipline.
  • Understanding and experience in food manufacturing, and in particularly, food safety and hygiene standards, including BRC and HACCP requirements, and Occupational Health and Safety. 
  • Packing and lifting of 15kg bags will be required as part of the role, so candidates must be physically
