Role Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide direction and guidance to other employees including the provision of on‑the‑job training and induction.
- Engage all employees in problem solving, focusing them on the right problems and guiding them through the thinking process.
- Ensure compliance with Product Specifications for imported and domestic honeys and finished good products destined for domestic, export and medical honey markets.
- Proficient in and be responsible for the running of all packing equipment.
- Ensure equipment is running at specified speed (rate BPM). Action any variances with Maintenance and Production Supervisor.
- Complete Line changes within allocated timeframes and standards.
- Good manufacturing compliance (GMP) of work area to be monitored and any non-compliances actioned. Work areas to be clean and tidy (clean as you go).
- Fill out daily production records and other reports, showing problems encountered and solutions suggested or implemented as required.
- Ensure the packing room, all machinery and their surrounds are kept to a high standard of cleanliness. Daily clean down procedures are to be maintained.
- Take advice and direction from the Maintenance division on sound and effective operation of equipment.
- Carry out other duties as directed by the Production Team Leader and Production Supervisor.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and to lead by example
- Mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment as an operator
- FMCG Experience (desirable)
Working hours
Weekly Rotating Roster – Monday to Friday with opportunities for overtime.
Day Shift 6:00am until 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift 2:15pm until 10:15pm
