Join Australia’s leading manufacturing team for dangerous goods and hazardous chemical storage and handling equipment.
This important onsite role will include ensuring the timely ordering and delivering of parts and materials to our production facility in Burnie, Tasmania.
You’ll be responsible for:
• Lead, manage, train and mentor the production team
• Focussed on ongoing process improvement
• Planning, coordinating and managing production schedules
• Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity
• Work with our supply chain and sales teams to improve just in time ordering and delivery
• Creating, negotiating and managing budgets and timelines with clients and stakeholders
• Establishing and managing quality control standards to ensure our products continue to meet regulatory standards and customer specifications
• Monitoring output and adjusting resources and processes to reduce costs
• Managing the maintenance and repair of production equipment
• Liaise with equipment suppliers, production partners, and other stakeholders
• Operates with transparency and earns trust at all levels through communication and actions
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or another relevant field (preferred but not essential)
• Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, and Transactional Lean to drive improvement
• Creative problem solver
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Positive attitude with a track record of delivering results
• Ability to motivate, manage and develop people of all skill levels effectively
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
