Production Manager - Signage Industry

D-Signs & Promotional are a rapidly growing dynamic business supplying signage and promotional products across Tasmania.  We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Production Manager.

Over the last few years our business has grown significantly.  Our expectation is that this growth will continue and we’re looking for someone with flair and initiative who wants to join us on that journey.

We are looking for someone who:

Is comfortable in an operations type environment and can organize and manage people.  You will need to be innovative, adaptive and be able to “think on your feet.”  A capacity to be able to build relationships with both staff and clients is important. 

The Role

This is a varied autonomous role within a small team environment with unlimited scope to effect real change and to generate positive outcomes for the business.  As the business continues to grow you will identify opportunities for innovation and collaboration with a focus on improving efficiency.  You will build a productive team of people who are happy and enjoy what they do.

Essential Criteria

• Experience in an operational or production type environment;
• Experience in supervising or managing people;
• Knowledge around business financials, eg. budgets and costing;
• Strong analytical, problem solving, planning and prioritisation skills;
• Above average verbal and written communication skills;
• An inbuilt attention to detail and ability to identify issues and manage risk;
• A sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements;
• Contemporary knowledge of human resource matters; and
• Competence in the Microsoft suite of programs including Word, Outlook and Excel

Desired Criteria

• Experience in signage and graphic design;
• Experience in promotional products; and
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

The Offer

This role is based in Devonport on the North West Coast of Tasmania.  The offer will be commensurate with experience.  A competitive Salary Package will be negotiated.
