The Production Manager is a key leadership role, accountable for establishing and driving the conditions, and providing ongoing support for the team, on a sustainable and improving basis.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
Develop a work culture of safety accountability. This will be achieved by implementing systems and processes that provide the skills, capabilities, and management to bring about the required organization change
Ensure that production plans are adhered to within the manufacturing functions
Lead continuous improvement towards world best practice in waste, quality and throughput utilizing standard applications of TPM, 5S and centre-lining
Develop a supportive, proactive work culture with cross training and succession planning to solidify long term sustainability
Implement continuous improvement methodologies to improve production.
Ensure production meets specified customer quality standards at all times
Oversee all administrative functions eg payroll, to be completed in an accurate and timely manner

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
Advanced Cert, Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Engineering is preferred.
5-7 years’ experience in a senior manufacturing management role (production management is desirable)
Leadership, influencing, negotiation, change management, conflict resolution and computer literacy skills
Experience at a management or delivering continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong project management and time management skills
