We are delighted to introduce you to the Production Manager opportunity now available, reporting directly to the Site Managing Director. This is a pivotal role within our team and with a broad scope for our well regarded, significant rail project and is responsible for managing the daily shift production of the Manufacturing activities at our Bellevue facility. Maintaining oversight over these manufacturing activities calls for a passionate and experienced professional with an approachable nature and interpersonal skills that naturally bring people together and lead to mutually beneficial and commercial outcomes.
Additionally, primary responsibilities include;
-Partnering with key stakeholders across multiple sites (where required) to ensure trains delivery meets time, quality and cost expectations
-Being accountable to the continuous development of manufacturing on site, liaising with internal colleagues to ensure consistency & best practice where applicable
-Reviewing production progress in daily basis with Production Supervisors, Supply chain, Quality and planning to ensure daily production targets are met as effectively and efficiently as possible
-Managing and monitoring the production supervisors including workforce planning, succession planning, budgeting, training & competency, OHS & quality
-Proactively identifying areas & initiating action for improvement across production and occupational safety and processes through manual reviews, analysis of trains incident reports and complaints & ad hoc feedback
-Leading by example and building a collaborative, accountable and cohesive team culture
-Ensuring all Production meets the Health & Safety requirements of internal standards, customer specifications and industry standards
What you'll bring to the team:
Culture and team fit are imperative for this role. We are looking for someone who has exceptional communication and leadership skills as well as;
-Experience in managing manufacturing or maintenance operations, planning workloads & leading a team
-Strong leadership & management experience of a high-volume workforce.
-Experience in Railway/Manufacturing or industrial setting is highly desirable.
-Agility, results oriented, team player, who leads by example.
-Experience within a EBA site, Unions and Apprentices & trades is desirable
