Phoenix Lining Services Pty Ltd are leading specialists in industrial rubbing lining and protective coating services and processes. We provide rubber lining, polyurea and specialist lining, component supply and refurbishment services to major companies within the mining, marine, oil and gas industries.
The Production Manager (Manufacturing) will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating the manufacturing activities of Phoenix Lining Services Pty Ltd.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements and review the effectiveness of the control measures put in place to manage the risks of health and safety, whilst ensuring that the occupational health and safety guideline are being met;
- Direct research into new production methods, such as coating solutions etc, making recommendations and implementing initiatives;
- Liaise with other Managers about production matters to formulate objectives and understand requirements;
- Maintain production records and control the preparation of production reports;
- Manage the operation of production workshops, including quality control procedures, through planning of maintenance, designation of operating hours and supply of necessary resources (staff and materials);
- Monitor and make recommendations to implement and improve Phoenix Lining Services production strategies, policies and plans;
- Monitor production process, to ensure efficiency during the process, and adjust processes, resources etc to minimise costs;
- Monitor the skills and performance of staff and provide advice, training and direction to ensure staff members are meeting all necessary performance objectives;
- Oversee the acquisition and installation of coating application systems and operational equipment;
- Plan details of and create production schedules to meet quality and quantity control, budgetary costs, time allocation and labour (staff and material) requirements.
To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate:
- Completion of a relevant Bachelor degree or higher qualification and at least 3 years of related post-qualification employment experience, OR;
- At least five years of relevant employment experience may substitute for the formal degree.
A remuneration package of $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate. This is a full time position, an immediate start is available.
