Position: Assistant Financial Accountant (Finance Accounting)

Term: Two year fixed term contract subject to review for an on-going bases position

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for accounting system management, implement group accounting policies, relevant framework and organize implementation, coordinate and promote the construction of accounting information systems
• Assist on preparation of the month-end activities including P&L and balance sheet management. Ownership of the Revenue reporting including variance analysis and margin reporting
• Preparation of regular regulatory report and financial statements ensuring compliance relevant regulations
• Liaise with external auditors for annual audit and preparation of annual financial statements
• Assist on preparation of taxation work including the tax provision, BAS, and Income Tax Return
• Critically evaluate policies, processes and procedures and take action to ensure they efficient
• Ad hoc duties.

Required Skills/Experience: 

• 1-2 years banking experience.
• 3-5 years accounting professional experience.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, or Finance.
• Ability to develop detailed plan and organise variety of tasks and projects to achieve goals.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadline.
• Ability to get point of view across clearly and concisely.
• Ability to use effective questioning techniques to understand customer need.
• Candidates must have PR or NZ/ Australian Citizenship.
