The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a result-driven and strategically minded Production Manager - Technical. As a pivotal member of our senior management team, you will provide leadership and direction to drive operational efficiency, accurate implementation of the site business plan and upholding our commitment to quality and sustainability.
This is an exciting permanent, full-time opportunity based in Harvey where you will be responsible for managing the quality management system and associated support functions, including farm, cleaning, environmental and sustainability.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A demonstrated track record of strategic leadership and vision, with the ability to drive business growth and operational excellence in the meat industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in managing technical operations, including farm management, environmental sustainability, and sanitation practices.
- Strong business acumen with the capability to contribute to the development and execution of business plans, budgeting, and operational planning.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams to achieve organizational objectives, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify areas for improvement, analyse data, and implement strategic solutions to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Extensive experience in managerial or senior management roles within the meat processing industry, coupled with a solid educational background in Animal Science, Animal Health, or Food Science.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach to driving continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging your expertise to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency gains, and cost optimization.
