About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated, hands on & experienced Production Manager to lead our team of retreaders at our Ingleburn, NSW facility.
You will need to have experience in a production/manufacturing supervisory level role, and while not necessary, tyre retreading experience would be an advantage.
Reporting to the Ingleburn Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the retread facility, including the leadership & training of a team of 8-10 retreaders. This role will require you to work on the factory floor as part of the production team to ensure we consistently meet strict safety, production & quality targets.

Roles/Responsibilities
- Ensure factory maintains Michelin MQS accreditation with support from the Admin and Quality Officer.
- Manage staff recruitment, training and performance, taking action for unsatisfactory performance with the assistance of the Operations Manager & HR.
- Lead and coach factory team to achieve safety, quality, and production targets.
- Efficiently manage tread and consumable stock as per production needs.
- Support the Michelin Retread Manager & Business Development Personnel with growth & development of the retread tyre market, as required.
- Handle claims promptly and collaborate with the Michelin commercial team for timely resolution.
- Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and customers.
- Organize and optimize tyre pick-up and delivery service.
- Conduct regular toolbox meetings for communication and feedback.
- Initiate continuous improvement activities in safety, performance, cost management, and sales growth.
To be successful in this role you must possess the following:
- Highly motivated with strong, hands-on leadership approach;
- Previous supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, quality and safety standards in accordance with company & industry standards.
- Basic understanding of production/manufacturing equipment.
- Valid Driver’s licence & Forklift licence or ability to obtain one.
- Tyre industry experience – desirable.
