How you'll make an impactThe purpose of this role is to ensure AMP Bank has the optimal deposit product features and pricing for current deposit products to meet its growth and margin targets and overall strategy. The role includes owning deposit products strategy for current products, pricing, continuous improvement, and operational execution.This role will also be critical in working closely with 'Project Thomas' in managing the pricing and funding mix across all deposits. Project Thomas is the project building a new digital banking platform for AMP Bank using the SaaS 'Engine' platform (the technology underpinning the UK Bank 'Starling'). This platform will be used for a new division of the Bank which will look to manage the transaction needs of smaller businesses from early 2025.This role will also be responsible for managing the run-off and simplification of current deposit products as the Bank builds up deposits on the new Engine platform including co-ordinating customer communications and appropriate disclosures whilst continuing to meet volume and margin targets.You'll make an impact by:
- Support the Head of Lending and Everyday Banking Product with the development and execution of the Everyday Banking product strategy
- Lead and manage the Bank's portfolio of current deposit products and features ensuring delivering target returns to shareholders and within risk appetite and funding limits.
- Working with treasury, lending product team, Project Thomas and finance to provide input of deposit volumes and pricing for the 3-year Bank strategic plan. Continual updating of the strategic plan to reflect updated actual experience.
- Be the key contact with Marketing at both a planning and execution level for various Everyday Banking initiatives
- Work with project team on build and roll out of Funds Transfer Pricing system
- Post implementation of Project Thomas, manage the run-off of current deposit products including customer communications and appropriate notice and disclosures
- Working closely with the Bank Transformation and Operations teams, strive for excellence the end-to-end Everyday Banking experience for AMP customers.
- Lead and support Assistant Product Manager
What you will bring to the team- 4-5 years experience in Financial Services/Banking
- Preparation of business cases, product positioning and pricing proposals preferred
- Deposit Product Management in a Bank, ADI or specialist banking service provider
- Ability to manage/coordinate stakeholders, including those more senior
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- Strong analytical skills
