Our client, a leading precision metal fabrication and machining solution provider within the engineering industry, is seeking a dynamic Production Manager to join its team and play a pivotal role in its operations and growth. As the Production Manager, you will be pivotal in managing all aspects of production within our Engineering Workshop. You will ensure strict adherence to schedules and early communication of any variations. Your proactive approach and strong leadership skills will drive our production processes forward.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with administrative staff to prioritise schedules.
- Communicate priorities effectively to the workshop floor and troubleshoot any issues.
- Keep stakeholders informed about the schedule status.
- Develop plans for suppliers and foster strong relationships.
- Manage trade staff attendance and uphold company standards.
- Work with the Managing Director on safety standards and policies.
- Execute maintenance plans for equipment.
- Coordinate equipment repairs and servicing.
- Assist in trade staff recruitment and skill development.
- Facilitate the development of estimates.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies.
- Report incidents promptly and participate in relevant programs.
- Embrace a culture of continuous improvement.
