Production and Logistics Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Production and Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the entire lifecycle of our product Production and Logistics processes. You will be responsible for coordinating with the design team, production team, freight forwarders, factories and our Distribution centre to ensure a seamless flow of operations from concept to our Distribution Centre.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes from concept stage to final delivery
- Liaise with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure consistent, on time and cost effective delivery of bulk stock
- Ensuring a high quality standard of product is delivered by working closely with the suppliers on Quality Assurance
- Maintain a strong relationship with the Design, Finance and Merch team
- Manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and Logistics partners to negotiate contracts and secure favourable terms.
- Ensuring all invoicing that’s issued from suppliers, customs and the freight forwarders are correct prior to submitting these to the finance team
- Liasing with the shipment company to ensure suppliers have made bookings for ready bulk
- Working with the Garment Technician to approve the pre Production and shipment samples, ensuring all details are correct
- Negotiate costs with factories and freight forwarders where necessary
- Working closely with the VRG GRL Distribution Centre Manager on the delivery schedule
- Alongside the Merch planner, organise raising purchase orders for new and restocks following the critical path
- Organise wholesale purchase orders and any details needed for wholesale orders - liaising with factories and agency
- Maintain detailed production schedules to track progress and adjust operations as needed.
- Coordinate with the Merch and Marketing teams to align production planning with demand forecasts and promotional strategies.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of Production and Logistics staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Resolve any issues related to production delays, shipment problems, or quality challenges in a timely and effective manner.
- Attend Fit sessions to ensure our fits meet the size standard
- Help where needed to ensure we stay on track within the production process
- Complete and delegate any AD HOC tasks to help grow the business
