The Position:
As KB Seafood Co continues to grow, we are looking for a Production Materials Planner and Buyer to join our team in Mulgrave. The role will be responsible for ensuring ongoing supply of consumables / indirect materials for our three production sites located around Australia, whilst ensuring acceptable commercial outcomes. The role will work directly with suppliers and site production planners/leadership teams to achieve production targets.
The position is permanent full time and based in our modern Mulgrave office (Nexus Business Park).

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement short/medium/long term inventory plans to be integrated into the Sales & Operations Planning cycle.
- Working directly with three production sites (VIC, QLD, WA) to ensure ongoing supply of consumables and indirect materials to meet demands.
- Monitor delivery lead-times to ensure production plans are not negatively impacted.
- Maintain safety stock for identified materials within commercial guidelines.
- Manage plans to minimize excess stock including providing timely notification when excess is identified.
- Negotiate commercial terms with key suppliers to achieve the best outcomes for KB.
- Ensure vendor performance is maintained including supply performance, food quality specifications and technical parameters.
- Provide monthly forecast to our vendors ensuring our requirements are met.
- Providing accurate & timely notification to suppliers on non-conforming deliveries
- Identify cost savings opportunities and provide recommendations.
- Work with the production and New Production Development teams to ensure agreed materials specifications are developed for all products.
Requirements:
- Experience with Material Requirement processing
- Experience managing vendor performance.
- Negotiation of commercial terms.
- SAP or similar ERP system.
- High level of attention to detail and follow through.

- Degree qualification in relevant field
- Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
- Managing both domestic and international suppliers
- Supporting multi-site manufacturing
