The Role
Advanced Manufacturing Queensland is seeking Production Operators to our assembly line. The Production Operator will work with and report to the Team Leader and the Production Manager. Production Operator will be responsible for your designated area (Station) and all the products are produced on time in compliance with standard quality requirements. This is a hands-on operational role with a focus on implementing and driving Lean Manufacturing principles. The role will require commitment, pro-active and flexible approach.
Key responsibilities
- You will be accountable for your designated area and tools, materials, customer products, company assets.
- Follow the production schedule.
- Ensure Delivery in full on time (DIFOT) or pulse and are as per quality standards.
- You will be required to follow production process, including policies, procedures, work and check instructions.
- Required to work as a part of the Production Line, but not limited to this area/ station.
- You are required to initiate and support the implantation of continuous improvements within the team.
- You will ensure that pulse over run and scrap levels are recorded and managed to meet targets.
- Communicate corrective actions as necessary with your Team Leader or Manager.
- To ensure that safety and quality are a key element of the manufacturing culture
- To ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained and improved
- Ensure that visual boards are up to date
- Punctual to the work and attend punctually the required meetings
- Ensure the Time and Attendance is properly adhered and clocked on and clock off at the end of the day.
- Build and develop relationships at all levels across the manufacturing function in order to spark ideas for continuous improvement.
- Working with Team Leader in order to implement the company's policies, procedures and goals.
- Full responsibility to ensure that you follow health and safety guidelines.
- You will be cross skilled and trained in tasks out of your main responsibilities.
- You will be expected to collaborate in other tasks and activities that will be out of your main responsibilities
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Mechanical know how or any certification desired
- Experience in Vehicle mechanics and auto electrics is an advantage
- Experience in lean manufacturing/continuous improvement is a value add
- Exposure to hand and battery tools is essential
