THE ORGANISATION:

THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for planning workshop schedules and material requirements ensuring a controlled flow of goods and materials to meet specific production requirements and deadlines. You will also play a pivotal role in supporting and directing other members of the team including manufacturing engineers, fabricators and machinists. Ideally, you have a trades background with direct shop floor experience and understand the challenges of a workshop environment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and manage workshop/production schedules using M1 software.
• Monitor and coordinate work centres and material supplies for upcoming jobs.
• Manage the M1 inventory system for both inward and outward requirements.
• Keep the schedule up-to-date and advise if delivery dates will not be achieved.
• Control the quality of the in-process and completed goods and services by conducting inspections and checking calibrated equipment.
• Check for quality & accuracy of the job scope & specifications for all jobs.
• Organise material, tooling and supplies to support quality control activities.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of 3-5 years manufacturing experience as a Production Planner/scheduler.
• You have a trade background and a clear understanding of CNC lathes and milling.
• Previous experience with M1 would be highly regarded but not essential although proficiency in using other production planning software and ERP systems would be required e.g. SAP.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Office.
• Practical understanding of production processes, quality control, and compliance standards
• Working with or exposure to quality control standard AS/NZS ISO9001
• Excellent analytical and planning skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High level of verbal and written communication skills combined with effective time management and organisational skills.
