Our client who is an Australian premier manufacturer of roller shutters and door systems have patnered up with us to recruit for a Production Planner.
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for the efficient and cost effective management of the production, supply and installation of the company products. You will need to ensure adequate resources are available in order to supply and install products in accordance with customer timing requirements.
This will be achieved by:
- Accurately inform customers of the delivery schedule of their orders and the co-ordination between the factory and transport companies for the timely and cost-effective supply of products ordered by the customer.
- Continuous coordination with customers to ensure site readiness for installation prior to commitment of resources.
- Timely installation of Company products as required by the customers by managing subcontract installers. In conjunction with sales levels, ensure a smooth and continuous supply of work to subcontractors.
- Responsibility for sales invoice tracking and projection based on current and potential schedules of work to be completed, ensuring that sales invoice budget levels are achieved whenever possible.
- Providing accurate lead time information for sales staff and customers alike and proactively communicate changes in lead time as necessary.
- Effectively negotiate and resolve any disputes in relation to customers, suppliers, contractors or other interested parties that may arise in the normal course of doing business.
- Develop and / or refine the production program system to ensure transparency and accurate production scheduling is maintained 100% of the time.
- Responsibility for scheduling manufacture of the Company's products in accordance with customer requirements as set out on production detail sheets.
- Provide assistance to customers as well as sales staff and factory personnel.
- Assist in reporting monthly Work In Progress (WIP) to the Production Manager in order for calculations to take place and values reported to the Group Financial Controller when required.
- Assist with production of Quality Control and Safety Documentation as required by the customer.
- Assist to refine production methodology and work flow to ensure maximum output is achieved.
- Assist to ensure a Safe Work Site is maintained at all times, assist in conducting Toolbox Meetings
