- Responsible for the planning of operations to ensure jobs are delivered to schedule and cost.
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients to ensure continued line of communication.
- Effective production scheduling - delivered to schedule and cost

- Measurement and review (continuous improvement focus).
- Engage and report progress to the Management Team.
- Assisting with quote estimating when and if required.

- Effective production scheduling through:
- Scheduling the coming month's to six weeks production.
- Forward planning of production capacity to identify opportunities or potential bottlenecks and to outline manning/overtime, material and sub-contractor requirements, plans and a production schedule to satisfy customer needs. Meeting due dates is a critical part of this planning process.
- Review job status and new jobs weekly to re-organise the schedule to accommodate these changes and modify those requirements, plans and production schedule to satisfy customer needs.
- Liaison with procurement and production management is critical to successfully agreeing and implementing the production schedule and the associated plans.
- Liaising with Procurement for the timely delivery of materials.
- Assisting the Production Manager with workshop layout plans to suit work on hand.
- The undertaking of weekly production meetings and monthly capacity planning meetings with key production staff to plan and review production performance.
- Effective Quality management through:
- Supporting the Quality Management System to drive a constant improvement culture within production.
- Preparation of Job packs, including:
- Creating Jobs in ERP system
- Preparation of ITP's, weld maps, NDT plans
- Printing of IFC drawings
- Communicating specific job requirements to the Workshop.
- Prepare MDR's and Quality documentation to submit to Clients.
- Prepare NCR's and report these at Management Meetings.
- Effective safety management through:
- Supporting the Safety Management System to drive a constant improvement culture within production.
- Participate in Toolbox Meetings.
- Confirmed use of appropriate PPE.
- Participate in improvement programs and Management Meetings.
- Measurement and Review
- Measurement and review of Key Performance Indicators to help drive and improve performance in key areas.
- Effectively engage and report progress to the Management Team.
- Report to and actively participate as a member of the Management Team in constantly improving production.
- Assisting with quote estimations during heavy quote activity.
- Actively support and model the values of the organisation, leading by example.
- Exemplify behavioural standards that support our values.
- Assist other staff to do the same via mentoring and performance management where required.
