About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Scheduler to join our team based in our Hope Valley site. This position plays a critical role in the Animal Nutrition division to drive continuous improvement, consistency, credibility and accuracy in the delivery of the business objectives.
Main responsibilities of this role include:
- Efficient scheduling of production and outbound activities to optimize outcomes while mitigating risk
- Translate stardardised scheduling protocol into actionable, quantitative plans
- Collaborate with internal teams and external logistic providers to optimize scheduling of customer orders and deliveries
- Monitor and activate actions to complete Chain of Responsibility requirements for out-bound products
- Maintain adherence to production safety, hazards, and hygiene practices in accordance with business standards
- Communicate progress updates, escalate issues, and provide reporting and documentation as required
- Commit to continuous improvements throughout production and out-bound scheduling activities
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Warehouse and Logistic planning or Operational Scheduling
- 3 years experience in warehousing and logistics planning, preferably in FMCG
- Good understanding and strong commitment to safe work practices
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in scheduling systems/software (SAP)
- Frontline management qualifications, forklift licence, or tickets (e.g., working at heights, confined space) is advantageous but not required.
