About the Role
Tronox is recruiting for a Production Services Operator to join our team based at our Cooljarloo mine site near Cataby WA (170km north of Perth).
This permanent, full time position will see you work a 7:7 even time roster, commencing on Wednesday and finishing on Tuesdays. All shifts are 12 hour day shifts running from 6:30am – 6:30pm.
Camp accommodation and meals are provided whilst on site. This role will be on a drive in / drive out basis, or you can live a safe and commutable distance within the local community.
As a Production Services Operator you will have a strong focus on ensuring the safe operation of mobile plant equipment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safely operating mobile plant equipment such as Front-End Loader ITs
- Working and living the Tronox Values
- Maintaining a strong team based approach to your work
- Establishing and maintaining a network of water and tailings pipes
- Managing electric and diesel field pumps
- Monitoring tailings dams and water voids
- Supporting the Production Teams to help achieve Safe, Quality, Low Cost, Sustainable Tonnes
To be successful in this position, you will:
- Have previous experience in the mining or other relevant industry;
- Possess mining or civil construction qualifications;
- Maintain a reasonable level of physical fitness;
- Possess a high risk licence;
- Have demonstrated active listening ability and communication skills; and
- Have the ability to work in a team based environment.
