Hanwha Mining Services has over 60 years of experience in the explosives industry with world leading technologies. We are expanding our business in Western Australia, with a focus on Explosive Product manufacturing and supply.
About the role
This is a multi-disciplinary role for someone with extensive experience in Drill and Blast engineering.
You will travel to sites in WA on rostered FIFOs to support business activity at sites.
You want to be a key player in developing new business by providing expertise in the use of Hanwha’s products, both from a theoretical and practical perspective as well as supporting the business with blasting trials and customer support on blasting activity.
Responsibilities
Support products, services and sales in WA through:-
- Multi-disciplined support based on individual customer requirements, including training, presentations, site trials and support on Hanwha’s Electronic Blasting System (HEBS).
- Participate in product development of HEBS and other Hanwha blasting products, and systems including maintenance of HEBS training material.
- Manage stock, forcasting and reordering including out-going logistics from HMSA’s WA storage facilities.
Customer support:
- Improve understanding of specific customer needs.
- Assist in management of customer relationships from operational and mine management through to corporate levels.
- Apply technology and practical knowledge to develop value proposition to differentiate Hanwha products and promote the Hanwha Brand.
Safety:
- Implement SHEC initiatives with customers
- Product stewardship and product application training
- Lead risk assessments and develop procedures and training material.
- Participate in operational incident investigations
What you bring
- Experience with Electronic blasting systems including at least and basic knowledge of related electronic componentary, software and hardware.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory environment in WA
- Drill and Blast design knowledge and experience
- SHEC focus
- Team player who can collaborate and influence.
- Ability to learn new systems
- Strong customer focus and able to communicate at all leaves
- Able to work autonomously and in a team.
- Good problem solving ability.
- Flexible with working hours and locations to occasionally fit in with WA mine site rosters.
Credentials and experience
- Extensive experience with Drill and Blast engineering. (BSc Mining Eng preferred)
- WA Shotfirers licence (preferable)
- WA Magazine Keeper training and experience (preferable)
- DG Drivers License (preferable)
- Prior experience working on remote sites.
