We are seeking experienced Mining Supervisors for opportunities across the goldfields in Western Australia – FIFO 2/1 and 8/6 opportunities available.
About the Role
As a key member of our site based leadership team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day activities of our mining projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Excellence:
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Inspire and motivate your team to achieve operational goals and exceed performance expectations.
Operational Oversight:
- Manage and coordinate mining activities, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.
- Implement best practices to optimise mining processes and resource utilisation.
- Work with Maintenance Supervisors to implement maintenance plans.
Safety and Compliance:
- Prioritise the safety of all team members and contractors by enforcing and promoting adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Prepare accurate and timely production and labour reports.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising safety or quality.
- Providing initiatives to improve the Project.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant supervisory experience in the Mining industry
- Good working knowledge of the Mines Safety Act and Regulations
- Experience in the operation of Heavy Mining Earthmoving equipment
- Ability to lead, develop and mentor workforce
- Strong time management skills
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Australian Driver's License
- Able to obtain a clear NPC
- Schedule 26
- Current Australian First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
- Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate (Desirable)
