We seek the services of a skilled and highly motivated Production Supervisor to manage and own the daily production schedule, delivery and overall area outcomes. The ideal candidate is someone with production and supervisory experience who can be autonomous when running day to day operations, but work as part of a team on overall delivery, quality, change management and safety outcomes. The role will be to assist the production manager in the day to day production of all clients, managing/supervising line leaders and floor staff for optimal delivery of production, supervise training and documentation of new staff and ongoing training of existing staff, work with QA leaders in ensuring staff compliance. The perfect candidate is someone who wants future progression and one day wants to become a manager in similar roles. The tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Collaborate with management to establish weekly and monthly production goals, schedules, and quality standards.
- Oversee and delegate tasks to production staff and administration staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
- High level of communication to internal and external stakeholders on upcoming production schedules, deadlines, variation to schedules and issues with production.
- Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.
- Conduct daily quality checks and enforce quality control procedures throughout production – not included for QA Manager but quality of warehouses processes.
- Train new employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Motivate and coach production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Address employee concerns, provide performance feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports, analysing data to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
- Manage and maintain production equipment, scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs – review of equipment asset list and keeping up to date
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including production personnel, management, and other departments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in production supervision or a related leadership role.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing concepts (a plus).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
