We’re on the hunt for a proactive, self-motivated with exceptional leadership skills to join our Snack Brands Australia team in the role of Production Supervisor. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this exciting full time permanent role will be based at our Smithfield site.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, cost effective and efficient production of finished goods through leading and directing the team leader and operations team.
This role will also coordinate day to day production processes and problem solve issues by supporting other functions to ensure schedules are maintained and the required and agreed KPIs are met.
What you’ll be responsible for:
• Drive and own daily and weekly manufacturing performance to meet site KPIs
• Work with site leadership team to build highly engaged cross functional teams.
• Demonstrating leadership, professionalism and customer focused work ethic including a commitment to SBA vision and competencies
• Ensure regular communication of results and priorities, including daily production handovers through regular meetings
• Lead & manage the employment lifecycle (i.e. recruitment & selection, probation management, induction and training, performance management)
• Maintain working relationship with the union by working with the terms of the EBA
• Manage unplanned downtime through efficient equipment operation and preventative maintenance
• Manage and deliver against the getting it right first time and audit ready quality agenda i.e. no quarantines, housekeeping, and plant cleanliness
• Lead/participate in incident investigations and complete corrective actions on time
• Lead/participate in incident reviews and injury management
• Lead and complete Risk Assessments in line with requirements
What you’ll bring to the role?
• Ideally 2+ years of proven relevant Supervisor experience
• Experience in FMCG is desirable
• Demonstrated knowledge of managing safety and/or quality programs & processes
• Exceptional organisational, time management and planning skills
• High levels of integrity and accountability - you own your decisions and can be counted on to do what you say you will
• Positivity, sense of humour and a solutions-focused approach– nothing is ever a problem!
