DSI Underground (a SANDVIK owned company) is one of Australia’s largest, leading manufacturers, suppliers and exporters of specialist strata reinforcement and support products to the underground coal and metalliferous mining sectors. DSI Underground also provides galvanising and other related services to the mining, civil, marine, commercial, and industrial industries.
About the role
Based at our Kewdale (Perth) site and reporting to the Senior Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor - Galvanising duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure product is produced in accordance with expected efficiency outcomes and is compliant with specifications and standards.
- Participate in meetings relating to planning, production, quality, safety and other operational matters as determined by the Senior Plant Manager or as otherwise required to execute role responsibilities.
- Provide regular coaching and mentoring of employees to ensure performance standards are met and maintained.
- Achieve established key performance indicators for production and take corrective action where required.
- Establish shift standards and working schedules in consultation with the Senior Plant Manager.
- Ensure all team members maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards and good house-keeping practices.
- Report on production and team member matters.
- Performs final quality inspections and sign-off as required.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity you will have:
- Minimum 2yrs experience in a leadership role
- Relevant trade or manufacturing qualification
- Relevant technical knowledge of manufacturing and production processes
- Computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Navision / Pronto, Word, Inventor)
- Ability to engage, support, motivate, consult & direct
- Clear oral and written communicator
- Able to organise and plan own and other's activities
