The opportunity:
The Production Supervisor - Metal Fabrication role focuses on Planning, Organising, directing and ensuring the efficient running of all day-to-day operations.
Reporting to the Production Manager you will be responsible but not limited to the below:
- Ensure that all production activities in our metals area are carried out in a safe manner;
- Establishing and monitoring KPI’s; ensuring that daily and weekly production demands meet agreed outcomes, time-frames and budgets.
- Supervise and train team members according to their skill levels and business needs;
- Ensure that all team members understand what is expected from them and that they receive regular feedback;
- Oversee performance indicators such as efficiency, inventory levels, line backlogs, production targets and housekeeping standards
- Identify continuous improvement initiatives for the production of all manufactured goods;
- Experience in Sheet metal processing and welding.
- Attention to detail
The candidate:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in Metal Fabrication / a metal manufacturing environment;
- Experience using manufacturing systems such as MRP, BOM and Excel;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledge administrative management practices and procedures.
- Lean trained & Production experience is advantageous.
- People skills including coaching and mentoring.
- Ability to motivate and develop team members
