The Role
Our Carrum Downs facility is the cornerstone of our commitment to food excellence, utilising the latest processing and packaging capabilities and supported by a dedicated team focused on safety, quality, and cost efficiency. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in furthering our reputation to our valued customers who require the highest standards of product excellence.
As a leader, you will drive best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency and improve operational performance. You will be responsible for supervising production operations, managing employees, and ensuring we uphold our focus on safety, compliance, and quality.
This position will have you working the day shift, Monday to Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the team using coaching, development, delegation and recognition to ensure they have the capability to meet performance goals.
- Monitor and manage operational areas' performance, ensuring they meet safety, quality, health and environmental standards.
- Implement and monitor strategies to support staff retention and ensure labour cost base is productive, efficient and cost competitive.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate clearly across all levels of the business.
- Identify and resolve food safety and quality issues, mechanical issues, hazards and risks.

- A mechanical aptitude with the ability to address technical and engineering problems as they arise.
- Experience with leading and engaging a team, with the capabilities to create a collaborative and positive working environment.
- An ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback.
- Passion for driving continuous improvement initiatives through implementing strategies.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in Food Manufacturing as a Production Supervisor or Team Leader
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Forklift license.
