About you….
An enthusiastic team-oriented achiever with an innate passion for staff development. You’ll possess attention to detail & be self-driven to maintain consistent production output through conformance to established internal & external standards. Technologically savvy with working knowledge of MS suite, and ideally would also be willing to undertake learning to widen your areas of expertise, with a view to progressing within the company.
About the role
Our Production Team Leaders are motivated, process-driven people with a passion for creating a harmonious and safe workspace for their teams. They will be focused on continuous improvement of their production area and the development of the personnel within it.
You will work to clearly defined personal and production unit KPI’s, and be instrumental in setting & achieving goals for the area under your control.
- Lead and manage a team of around 10 people to successfully achieve daily production targets.
- Use your enthusiasm to motivate the team, and experience to mentor employees
- Liaise with supporting departments to ensure cell is compliant to our approved production processes and quality management systems.
- Ensure work area safety standards are maintained.
- Ensure all inventories are maintained adequately & customer orders completed on time.
- Oversee completion of preventative maintenance routines
- Drive 100% quality compliance to maintain customer satisfaction
- Utilise basic Root Cause Analysis techniques to resolve any challenges across the department.
- Promote continuous improvement using lean production methodologies
- Develop and maintain 5S standards.
- Ensure your team embrace company Core Values and Behaviours.
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Formal leadership training or previous experience in a leadership role
- Be hands-on with a sound mechanical aptitude
- Possess a positive attitude
- Be motivated with a friendly approach
- Good computer skills and knowledge of the MS Office suite of products
- Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques & 5S methodology
- Ability to mentor your team to provide support & drive performance improvement
- Strong knowledge of workplace OH&S
- Plastic injection moulding experience (preferred)
