Maipac has over 15 years of experience within the coffee industry as a partner of Adelaide’s coffee industry leader, Coffee Complex.
Maipac specialises in the production of Nespresso-compatible capsules. We work closely with coffee roasters to get the best out of their coffee, from bean to capsule, offering a complete production service, from personalised branding of each capsule through to packaging into retail boxes ready for distribution.
Our rapidly growing capsule manufacturing company is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, people person to join our fun and professional team.
A full-time position is available for an in-house machine operator and technician.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and repair all equipment as required.
- Work and operate across fill and seal packaging lines.
- Assist the Engineering contractors where required.
- Partaking in daily job changes.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance tasks.
- Maintain machines to minimise downtime.
- Test runs and quality checks.
- Ensure safe operation of all machinery whilst achieving daily manufacturing targets.
- Maintain consistent product specifications and standards.
- Recommend initiatives to improve overall efficiency.
- Learn and undertake tasks and projects as required.
- Use the Forklift to stack and organise stocked pallets.
- Understanding of policies and procedures relating to HACCP – Food safety
- Ability to apply required housekeeping standards.
- Ability to record data as necessary.
Requirements:
- Exemplary level of punctuality
- Fitter and mechanical knowledge & experience
- Pneumatic and electronic knowledge
- Previous experience with automated machinery
- Coffee industry experience or interest will be highly regarded
- Excellent time management and ability to manage workflow efficiently.
- Well-groomed and presented.
- Basic computing skills
- Forklift licence
- Current C Class Driver’s License
- A positive attitude with a 100% focus on quality control
- Previous experience in machine operating
- Self-motivation and ability to work as an individual and in a team
