Professional Development Project Officer
Role Description
This position will join our professional learning team to co-ordinate and deliver training through our involvement with the Victorian School Readiness Program (VSRF) as well as maintaining the systems and procedures, communication channels, follow up mechanisms and supports which ensure the ongoing growth and success of RLA’s professional learning programs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Manage and deliver the Building Home Libraries Program
- Assist to develop and deliver RLA training courses online and in-person
- Promote RLA’s professional learning program to the early childhood sector across Australia.
- Maintain relationships and communications with kindergartens and early years learning centres who have participated in workshops and the BHL program to secure ongoing and repeat business
- Maintain an action plan to capture Victorian SRF opportunities
- Manage stock requirements for RLA’s Professional Learning programs
- Maintain the VSRF database and respond to enquiries and communications for RLA workshops and resources.
- Assist in the selection of quality children’s picture books for use in RLA’s Professional Development programs
- Implement the online training workshop booking system in conjunction with other RLA professional learning staff
- Provide ‘hands on’ support with the logistics behind our programs, including volunteer packing days and stock management.
- Assist in developing a future growth plan
Our ideal candidate:
- Is experienced in delivering education and training
- Has experience working with a Registered Training Organisation or educational institution
- Is passionate about early childhood development, literacy, and social inclusion
- Can demonstrate collaborative behaviours, an ability to work in a small team or individually
- Has a keen attention to detail and excellent administrative skills
- Has the confidence and interpersonal skills to work with varied groups of people including early childhood educators, parents, and our dedicated volunteers
- Has previous experience in executing projects or initiatives either in the corporate, public, or not-for-profit sectors
- Has an abundance of energy, commitment, and a sense of humour
This is a full-time position, $85 000
