Overview
The Expert by ExperienceProject Officer works within the Consumer and Carer Participation Program (CCPP) framework to develop and facilitate the participation of consumers and carers in the planning, development and delivery of mental health services. They foster relationships with clinical staff and leaders to integrate consumer and carer involvement and perspectives into decision-making at all levels of governance. They recruit, train and mentor service users to become lived experience representatives for the purposes of co-design, collaboration and consultation across the regional Local Health Networks.
The Expert by ExperienceProject Officer represents consumer and carer perspectives in senior committees and on a range of projects and service improvements. They partner with Local Health Networks, the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist and non-government organisations to progress strategies and build capacity in lived experience participation.
