Job description:
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution to IAG's purpose is to effectively manage complex professional risk indemnity claims, providing a full legal defence and/or resolution of all claims, which can encompass a negotiated resolution or managing litigation to verdict at trial, ensuring an optimum and efficient service to customers, maximising opportunities to ensure claims are processed to meet our customer and financial objectives within expected delivery timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear instructions and guidelines on complex litigated claims to legal practitioners to achieve the most effective claims outcome. For non-litigated claims, negotiate with the claimants to ensure the most cost-effective outcome for CGU
- Administer claims including cheque processing, auditing and reviews in accordance with the requirements set out in the claim's manual
- Deliver exceptional customer service to CGU customers through efficient and customer centric service, ensuring that the full protection provided by the policy is given to the insured
- Support the achievement of CGU's objective of being a leader in the intermediated insurance industry by demonstrating behaviours which enable effective teamwork and proactive, efficient Claims management
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in management of professional indemnity claims
- Build and maintain service quality and customer service excellence to achieve service metrics
- Effectively build and manage relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders
- Professional risks insurance experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications e.g. Law (desired)
