Provide leadership and foster excellence in research, supervision and teaching in dietetics and nutrition at Charles Darwin University (CDU)

About the Position
As the Professor/Associate Professor- Nutrition and Dietetics, you will provide leadership and foster excellence in research, supervision and teaching in dietetics and nutrition within the program team and broadly across allied health and the Faculty of Health. You will innovate and lead the development of dietetics and related programs at CDU, ensuring relevant networks to support strong community engagement within the Northern Territory and nationally. 


About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • A PhD or Professional Doctorate in a related field and proven experience in a similar role with an established research profile in relevant discipline including evidence of research activity and outcomes, and significant leadership/clinical experience of similar nature in Dietetics.
  • Accredited Practising Dietician status with Dietitians Australia.
  • Evidence of the ability to lead the scholarship of teaching and learning and promote and disseminate such activities within the Faculty of Health and more broadly (Teaching Focused) with a demonstrated understanding of a university learning environment and equity programs and providing supportive education to people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and varying age groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading innovative curriculum development, preparation and delivery of on-line education programs in dietetics and related fields.
  • Excellent professional teamwork with high level communication skills, including oral, written, information communication technology (ICT) and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to represent the university at a range of forums, and to liaise, communicate, negotiate and collaborate with clients, stakeholders and partners, to deliver a valued service and achieve agreed outcomes.

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Research Active / Teaching Focussed Academic Level D/E. The base salary will be in the range of $154,069 to $185,441 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $180,260 to $216,965 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
