About the role
Are you a skilled Architect ready to take on projects to make a real impact to our City? We are looking for a motivated Senior Project Officer Design & Construction to join our team on a full-time 4-year contract basis. As part of our dynamic team, you’ll work closely with our Principal Architect and a dedicated team to deliver important building projects and engage with stakeholders.
In this role, you will undertake duties such as:
- Manage project lifecycle from start to finish, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
- Formulating project briefs and design solutions including feasibility and optioneering.
- Coordinate project teams and communicate effectively with consultants and contractors.
- Implement best practices in design and construction to achieve safe and sustainable outcomes.
- Develop and manage project budgets, reporting financials accurately.
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand needs and ensure project success.
- Assess existing assets for potential reuse or renovation opportunities.
- Identify and address project risks throughout the process.
- Prepare necessary documentation for project tendering.
Skills & Experience
- Qualification in Architecture with substantial post-graduate experience
- Demonstrated sound experience delivering a full range of architectural services
- Effective interpersonal skills to deliver on outcomes with key stakeholders
- Proficiency in time and cost management to meet critical targets
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft office (or similar) is important
