Contract position available for a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner

About the role:
Our Kameleon practitioners meet with clients, conduct assessments, analyse behavioural data, develop strategies and Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs), support the implementation of those strategies and plans, monitor progress, and review their effectiveness.
We will provide you with training on our systems and processes, and you will provide our participants with your exceptional Behaviour Support expertise.

You will provide participants with quality services within a person-centred, evidence-based framework.
About you
- Experience as a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Recognised as a suitable Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIS - at the Proficient level or above (core level may be considered, depending on experience/portfolio of evidence).
- Ability to walk alongside people with empathy and care
- Relevant undergraduate qualifications (Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Science, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Early Childhood Teaching, Primary Teaching)
- Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded
- Experience in identifying Restrictive Practices and developing Interim plans
- Experience in undertaking functional assessments and developing comprehensive positive Behaviour Support plans with a focus on preventative strategies
- Skills in teaching parents and/or staff to implement evidence-based strategies
- Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements
- Knowledge and experience of the current restrictive practices framework and its application in the relevant State
- Demonstrated application and/or understanding of Applied Behaviour Analysis

What do you need?
- ABN
- Insurances (PI/PL)
- State Drivers Licence, and roadworthy insured vehicle
- WWCC, NDIS Worker Check (Blue Card/Yellow Card)
- NDIS Suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (proficient and above)
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation and COVID-19 Safety modules
- You are Covid-19 vaccinated + boosted, as per NDIS requirements
- Your own working equipment - Laptop/Mobile etc.
Hourly Rate
- Rates depend upon qualifications and experience
- Contract role paid per participant billable hour.
