Address Our client is currently looking to engage an experienced Project Director that has a proven background of leading a number of teams including the management of project managers (technical and Functional). The role will be based in Canberra, ACT and we are looking for someone that can start immediately.
PMO / Project Directors with ITIL certifications are preferred, however Managers with previous Defence, Government experience will also be considered.
We are looking to speak to PMO Directors / Project Directors that have previous experience of working on ICT Defence Projects and that can demonstrate experience knowledge of ITIL processes, including extensive implementation, Configuration and Deployment Management experience.
Some of the role responsibilities are listed below:
- Manage multiple technical projects in accordance with the approved project plans
- Completion of projects in accordance with a work authorisation document
- Act as the primary point of contact for the customer
- Identify, monitor, mitigate, action and report on all project risks that impact requirements (including scope), effort (hours) and schedule
- Provide direction to staff on the management of project risks as required
- in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager, provide mentorship and guidance to the Project Leads
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of ITIL process, engineering methodologies and design principles; strong understanding of ITIL framework and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently produce excellent results in a complex environment
- Extensive IT service delivery project leadership experience
- Extensive experience in implementation and execution of ITIL Service Transition processes -including Service Asset and Configuration Management and Change, Release and Deployment Management
- Extensive level of skills with project planning and scheduling tools
- Exceptional level of engineering leadership/management skills
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills
- Exceptional leadership and supervisory skills
- Exceptional ability to resolve technical and programmatic issues of a complex nature
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent, demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels
- Excellent ability to engage with key stakeholders at all levels
- A minimum security clearance level of NV1 is required and candidates without this level of clearance will not be considered at this time.
PMO / Project Directors with ITIL certifications are preferred, however Managers with previous Defence, Government experience will also be considered.
