About the role:
Primary responsibility of the Program Finance Lead is to oversee financial performance including validating proposed pricing and viability, ensuring appropriate financial baselines are established, ongoing review of financial and Earned Value data and projecting overall financial performance.
This will include ownership of all customer financial data prepared by the program including customer invoicing, periodic cost audits, cost models, customer financial reporting.
Other day to day tasks include:
- Provide an expert level of advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Company with respect to Financial matters
- Manage the analysis of program financial performance and the preparation of associated reports for domestic management, the US Line of Business and the Customer
- Manage financial inputs from other parts of the business and ensure they meet internal financial and customer invoicing/reporting requirements
- Manage accurate, timely preparation, analysis and delivery of financial reporting - including Orders, Sales, EBIT & Cash
- Track and model impact of any futures CCPs including financial impact of incorporating these into the program financial baseline, long range plans and cost model
- Manage external business engagements (including customers and suppliers) as it relates to program financial matters
- Provide support and guidance to future pricing activities.
About you:
- Experience in a similar role within a project environment ensuring contractual compliance, cost management, budget development and analysis, financial estimating, configuration management, and proposal support (preferably within the defence industry)
- Significant experience building and operating models for tracking and reporting financial performance on complex acquisition programs to meet business and customer requirements
- Ability to work successfully with multiple stakeholders and locations in a fast-paced and complex environment
- Experience reviewing, interpreting and reporting on Earned Value performance on programs including ability to review and interrogate subcontractor Earned Value performance
- Experience in building and maintaining strong customer and supplier relationships
- Experience in the negotiation and resolution of complex financial issues to achieve a positive, commercially focused outcome
- Expertise in establishing and applying structures for evaluating financial viability, rates/pricing and financial reporting/management frameworks
- Ability to review and validate ongoing financial performance and forecasting
- Experience in successfully developing and communicating strategies and plans
